Working with the floorplan viewer

- Floor plan
The floorplan viewer is your screen during service. You see the room as it is right now: which tables are occupied, who is seated, who is still to come and when something needs to happen. You open it from the sidebar under Tables — every floorplan is listed there by its own name — or from the admin screen with Open live viewer.
Live or looking back
At the top there are a Date and a Time. By default the viewer is live: it updates automatically as soon as a booking changes, without you refreshing. Set the date or time to another moment and you see a snapshot of that moment: handy to check how full it will be at eight tonight. Jump to now (live) takes you back to the present. Switch floorplan moves you to another plan.
What you see on the plan
Every table has a colour following its zone, unless the table was given its own colour. Click a table for the current reservation and for Show day queue: the table queue with everything booked on that table that day.
The lists beside it
- Upcoming reservations — who is still to arrive. When it says No table assigned, the automatic assignment found nothing suitable and you need to pick a table.
- Seated — who is at a table right now.
- Upcoming table-merge actions — the table combinations that have to be set up within the next two hours, with in 20 min or now next to them. That is your cue to start moving furniture.
Looking at a reservation
Click a reservation for the detail panel. It shows the tables, the party size, the progress (Just started, Midway, Almost done or Overtime), the seating preference, remarks, options and the extra questions. Which extra questions those are is chosen in the module settings. From the panel you can go through to the full booking.
Statuses
On the floorplan a reservation has four states: unassigned, planned, seated and finished.
What else you can do here
See Assigning, swapping and locking tables for assigning, moving and locking tables, and for checking guests in and out.
Rights
The viewer requires the menu_confmod_floorplan right. That is the same right as for setting up floorplans: whoever may use the viewer can also reach the configuration screens.
