Setting up zones

Zones group tables into sections: window, terrace, lounge. You manage them in the editor with the Manage zones button. You assign a table to a zone in that table's properties panel.

Creating a zone

1. Open the floorplan editor and click Manage zones.
2. Click New zone.
3. Fill in the Name — for example window, terrace or lounge. The name is required.
4. Pick a Colour. Tables without their own colour take the zone colour, so you can see at a glance where things are.
5. Tick Outdoor if the zone is outside.
6. Click Save.

The order is the walk-in order

Drag the zones in the list to set their order. That is the sequence in which zones are filled when a guest has no preference. So put the zone you would rather fill first at the top — the terrace in good weather, say, or the inside section in winter.

Deleting a zone

The tables in that zone remain; they only lose their zone and are then set to No zone. Remember that guest preferences refer to zones: if you delete a zone that belongs to a preference, check that preference afterwards.
