Floor plan

If you have built a floorplan in one environment and want to use it in another — from test to production, or to a second branch with the same room layout — you carry it over as an export file. Both buttons live on Configuration > Modules > Floorplans.

Exporting

  1. Open the Floorplans screen.
  2. Click Export next to the floorplan.
  3. Your browser downloads a ZIP file.

The file contains the floorplan itself, the zones, the tables, the table combinations, the layout (walls, bar, kitchen) and the background image.

Importing

  1. In the target environment, open the Floorplans screen.
  2. Click Import floorplan.
  3. Pick the ZIP file.

i-Reserve creates a new floorplan, including zones, tables, combinations and background. So an import never overwrites an existing floorplan.

What does not come along

The file is deliberately decoupled from the environment it came from. These things are not in it and have to be redone in the new environment:

  • the link with objectslinking objects is the first step after an import, otherwise no reservation lands on the plan;
  • the guest preferences, which live at licence level and do not belong to a floorplan. If they already exist in the target environment, check which zones they are linked to: the zones from the import are new ones;
  • reservations and their table assignments.

Rights

Both actions require the menu_confmod_floorplan right.
