Creating your first product

A product is what your guest books. For most restaurants the first product is simply a table for dinner. That is enough to start with.

What you set

For a product you decide on which days and at which times it can be booked, and for how many guests. Those times are not your opening hours: you can open at 17:00 but only accept reservations from 17:30, so your team can get the place going.

For how many guests

Set a minimum and a maximum. The maximum is what you can seat in one go without combining tables; larger parties are better off phoning than spreading themselves across three tables online. What you set here is exactly what your guest sees in the booking module.

Start small

One product per service is enough. You can always add more, and a product nobody books is more confusing than a product that does not exist yet.
